BubBasic is a baby-care tracker for parents and carers. It is designed for the moments when logging needs to take seconds, while still giving you useful records when you have time to look back.

BubBasic requires an iPhone running iOS 18 or later.

The whole app, with no catch

• Free forever. There is no paid tier, trial, feature gate, log limit or export cap.
• No ads. BubBasic contains no advertising.
• No subscriptions. Nothing recurs and there is nothing to cancel.
• No BubBasic account. The app works locally without signing up. Optional sharing uses the Apple Account already on your iPhone.
• Nothing functional to buy. Every feature is available without a purchase.
• No app analytics or tracking. BubBasic contains no analytics or tracking SDK. The BasicApps production website uses cookieless aggregate analytics and ordinary hosting logs, as explained in BubBasic privacy.

Fast when it matters

Record sleep, nursing, bottle feeds, nappies, pumping, solids, medicine, temperature, growth and baths. Every log sheet lets you choose a date and time, so you can backdate an event, correct it later or record a valid session that crosses midnight.

Persistent nursing controls let you start on the left or right, switch sides, pause, resume and finish. An active pumping session becomes a one-tap Stop action while its volume remains editable. Timers are saved as you use them so they can survive dismissal, backgrounding and relaunch.

Detailed when you need it

Day Report shows a selected day and lets you share a plain-language summary. Trends presents neutral facts such as date range, sleep averages, feed counts, bottle volume and nappy counts.

Optional bundled World Health Organization growth references compare weight, length and head circumference with female or male curves from birth through 24 months. You can leave the growth reference unset and keep raw measurements only. After 24 months, BubBasic shows raw measurements without inventing a percentile.

Widgets for the child you choose

Choose a child independently for each Home Screen widget. Widgets can show live relative times, show an active sleep timer, start or stop sleep and open common logs. If the selected child is archived or deleted, the widget asks you to choose another child instead of silently logging against someone else.

iOS controls widget refresh budgets and scheduling, so an occasional delay is possible.

Your history stays portable

Import a Huckleberry CSV on your iPhone and review it before saving. Export a portable CSV for a selected child whenever you want, without a cap. BubBasic creates exports locally and passes them to the standard iOS share sheet, where you choose the destination.

Optional iCloud sharing

BubBasic works locally with iCloud sync off by default. If you choose to turn sync on, Apple CloudKit stores the records in your iCloud. You can invite a co-parent through Apple's private sharing, and accepted participants can view and change that shared child's records.

Nothing leaves your device unless you turn on iCloud sync; then it goes only to your iCloud and invited participants, where the developer cannot see it.

CloudKit encrypts data. Selected sensitive fields use encrypted values; end-to-end protection for those fields depends on the user's Advanced Data Protection configuration. BubBasic does not claim universal end-to-end encryption.

Designed for accessibility

BubBasic uses semantic text and adaptive layouts, meaningful VoiceOver labels, practical tap targets, light and dark appearances, sufficient contrast, and text or values alongside colour in charts. Delete gestures have a confirmation and an alternative available by opening the entry.

Honest limits

BubBasic is a care log, not a medical device or emergency service. It does not diagnose, treat, predict sleep, provide clinical interpretation or continuously monitor a child. Growth references are informational and are not medical advice.

iCloud delivery, widget scheduling, device backups, the document picker and share-sheet destinations are Apple services outside the developer's control. BubBasic has no Android, web or Apple Watch app.
