BubBasic terms of use.

Agreement

These terms apply when you download or use BubBasic. Apple's standard App Store terms also apply. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What BubBasic provides

BubBasic is a free iPhone tool for parents and carers to record baby-care events, run timers, view reports, use widgets, import and export data, and optionally sync or share through Apple iCloud.

BubBasic has no paid tier, in-app purchase, advertising or BubBasic account. The app requires iOS 18 or later.

Not medical advice or monitoring

BubBasic is an informational care log. It does not provide diagnosis, treatment, clinical interpretation, predictions, emergency alerts or continuous health monitoring.

World Health Organization growth references are general population references through 24 months. They do not assess an individual child's health. Do not delay professional advice or emergency help because of an entry, chart, timer, notification, sync state or missing update in BubBasic.

Your responsibilities

• Check entries before relying on a report or sharing it with another person.
• Protect the iPhone, Apple Account, exported files and sharing invitations you control.
• Invite only people authorised to see and edit a child's care information.
• Keep a suitable export or device backup when the history is important to you.
• Use BubBasic lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with the app, Apple services or another person's data.

iCloud and other Apple services

Optional sync, sharing, backups, widgets, document picking and share-sheet destinations depend on Apple services, device settings, network availability and Apple Account status. Their operation and availability are not controlled by the developer. Exact iCloud delivery and widget refresh timing is not guaranteed.

Your data

You retain control of information you enter. BubBasic does not claim ownership of care records or exports.

Data handling is described in BubBasic privacy. Instructions for exporting and removing local or iCloud copies are included in BubBasic support.

BubBasic and BasicApps materials

The app, website, interface, branding and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. This does not claim ownership of your data, Apple materials, Huckleberry exports or the underlying World Health Organization standards.

Availability and changes

BubBasic may be updated to fix defects, maintain compatibility, improve privacy or complete the core experience. If the app reaches end of life, that will be stated plainly. Local features are designed not to depend on a developer server; optional CloudKit sync still depends on Apple services and the Apple Developer account remaining available.

Material changes to these terms will be published with a new effective date and, when appropriate, explained in the app or release information. Continued use after updated terms take effect means the updated terms apply, subject to rights that cannot be excluded.

Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Information about Australian consumer guarantees is available from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate user entries, treating BubBasic as medical advice, loss of access to a device or Apple Account, third-party services, or a destination selected for an exported file. This limitation does not apply where the law does not allow it.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and applicable Commonwealth law.
